            Gauges & Properties

Each property can have several gauges. A property's figures are the average of its gauges, so the same rain is never counted twice.

            Removed gauges

Their readings are kept. Restore a gauge to see them again.

            New property

The nearest town shows on shared pictures. Your exact location is never shown. You can add more gauges to it later.

            Invite a Mate

Share a gauge with someone who reads it with you, or tell a friend about GaugeMate.

For a family member, worker or neighbour who reads the same gauge. They get their own free GaugeMate, and see only the gauges you tick. Your other gauges stay private.

            Which gauges can they see?
            What can they do?

They get their own free GaugeMate for their own gauges. Nothing of yours is shared.

            Checking backups…

            • Every reading saves online under your mobile number, so a lost or broken phone loses nothing. Sign in on the new phone and it’s all there.
            • A backup copy of your gauges is made automatically each day, and every night GaugeMate copies all records to separate storage too.
            • Every new reading, edit and removal is recorded with its date, and can be undone.
            • No signal? Readings are kept on this phone and save when you’re back in range.

            Add old records

Bring in paper diaries and spreadsheets, or fill in daily readings for years like 2011–2019 a month at a time. They go into the gauge you’re viewing.

It opens like any other app and works with no signal.

            Reports and downloads

The PDF report is a dated rainfall record for the property, with the GaugeMate logo, the last 12 months against the long-term average, annual totals, a list of any changed readings, and a signature line. Use it for drought assistance applications, the bank, or selling the property.

The Excel file has one sheet per year with days down the side and months across the top, a summary of every year since 2011, and every reading with its note.
